Statement

These works reflect my interest in the nature of feminine power and the coexistent valuing and devaluing of women as sex objects, wives and mothers. By placing objects in provocative juxtapositions, I ask the viewer to contemplate the complexity of women's roles at work, at home and as depicted in the media. The work emphasizes the vulnerability of girls in a culture that often casts them in a sexualized role.
